Scarecrow’s 30th Anniversary & MELLENCAMP’S 70TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

With our 7th August gig being rescheduled, we’ve now got plenty to celebrate this October at Chelsea Heights. We’re not only continuing the celebrations for Scarecrow’s 30th Anniversary, but also now celebrating John Mellencamp’s 70th Birthday at the Heights Live!

John is one of the great American songwriters and a great rock spirit. We are forever grateful to him for his wonderful music and look forward to this special night, where we have the opportunity to honour the great man.

All ticket holders from the 7th August show have been notified of the rescheduling by Oztix and have the option of moving with the show to the new date, or requesting a refund. Tickets have once again been snapped up quickly for this one, so if you don’t have your tickets as yet, get on it!

After an incredible 2 x SELL OUT shows this year at the Village Green, Scarecrow-The Mellencamp Show‘s ‘30th Anniversary Tour’ lands at another of Melbourne’s iconic rock venues, the ‘Chelsea Heights‘ on Saturday 7th August 2021.

We’ve had a lot of fun reminiscing about some of the sensational venues we used to perform at ‘back in the day’, plus we’re loving hearing your stories of how we’ve connected. Countdown is on! – Rock on May 1st

Not long now until we hit the stage at the Village Green Hotel on Saturday the 1st of May. We’d like to thank the venue for all they have done during these difficult times to help us prepare for Scarecrow’s 30th Anniversary.

We understand that quite a few of you have not been able to get tickets for this show and after the April 9th announcement that venues were going back to 100% capacity we were all hoping that more tickets would be available. Unfortunatley that’s not actually the case for Pubs and Clubs who are still operating under the square meter rule effectively limiting them to 30% capacity.

So in light of this I’m attaching a link to the Music Victoria explanation of just who is making these decisions. It’s certainly not the venues choice or fault to have these rules imposed on them as they too have done it very tough over the last 12+ months. We all need them and hope you can show your support by clicking on the link below and voicing your opinion to the right people to help us all get back to some sort of normalcy.

Ringwood Bowls Club is located in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne about 25km from the city centre. The extensive clubhouse, alfesco cafe and BBQ’s are located amid well maintained gardens and ample parking. These facilities cater admirably for a variety of social functions and in a couple of weeks time; ‘Twilight At The Bowl’ – with the Ultimate American Rock Show. This is an all ages event, so feel free to bring along the whole family, for a night of classic Americana hit music performed live!

Ringwood Bowls Club are opening their doors to a Live Music Series of shows called ‘Twilight at the Bowl’. We will perform the Ultimate American Rock Show on Sunday 29th of March. This is another great opportunity to bring the whole family to enjoy a live band and show, with great food and classic music. Bean bags and picnic blankets only on the green. Just a couple of weeks away now….here’s some further details on tickets on offer: Brighter Days Festival tickets not only include unlimited access in/out of the Festival Entertainment precinct, but also a bike or car entry into the Show ‘n Shine, Sounds of Silence Silent Disco headphones and entry into the Amazing Chase. Reserved Seating weekend entertainment passes are also available and your chair will be provided in the reserved seating area at the front; no need to BYO chairs. It’ll be a great weekend!

Family friendly event coming up at Frankston Bowls Club next month, with their Live Music Series called ‘Twilight on the Deck’. Brighter Days Festival 2020 – Sat 7th March

Scarecrow – The Mellencamp Show will return to beautiful Bright, for the Labour Day Long Weekend, this coming March. We’re looking forward to participating in the Brighter Days Festival, on the Saturday afternoon. Brighter Days is an incorporated fundraising entity, raising valuable funds for some very deserving children’s charities.

The 2020 festival has a stellar lineup of artists & will be held on the Oaks Lawn at Pioneer Park in Bright. The area will be fenced and this year there will be an entry fee for everyone over 18 years of age, kids under 18 will be free. A three-day entertainment pass will be $100 or a day pass will be $50. First show for 2020 – Mulwala Ski Club

Just a couple of weeks away, till our next Mellencamp gig, with our first for 2020 being 11th January at Mulwala Ski Club,

Lake Mulwala is one of Australia’s premier fishing spots for native Murray cod, and ideal for other water sports like boating, waterskiing and kayaking. Mulwala Water Ski Club offers a range of fun aquatic adventures, from banana and tube rides to waterskiing and wakeboarding lessons for beginners. They’ve got a couple of dining options for your evening meal, before we hit the stage at approximately 10pm. See you then!
