The Ultimate American Rock Show will feature songs from groups who hail from different areas of The States, while likewise representing different styles of rock and roll, blues, roots & soul, that have stood the test of time.

We’re taking the music from Melbourne, to the people of Gippsland in just a couple of weeks time to Saluto’s Bar & Restaurant; the latest function & event venue in Wonthaggi. Grab a bite to eat at Picasso’s, open from 5.30pm before joining us at Saluto’s Bar & Restaurant from 8pm for a sensational night of US classics! Who’s in with us?

Delve deep into Victoria’s mining history, explore a range of above-ground heritage sites and embark on scenic walks at Wonthaggi, a town built on the industry of ‘black gold’ – coal. Although Wonthaggi’s State Coal Mine has retired from duty, there’s still plenty to see and do. The mine’s above-ground heritage features are open to the public, with historic buildings, interpretive displays, walking trails, a picnic area and kiosk. Wonthaggi is also conveniently located in the midst of some of Bass Coast’s most impressive food destinations. Night time grab a drink & bite to eat at Picasso’s, open from 5.30pm before joining us at Saluto’s Bar & Restaurant from 8pm for a sensational night of US classics!

Buninyong lies at the foot of landmark Mt Buninyong, the old volcano that has signalled home to countless generations of local Wathaurung people and to the more recent settlers of the present township 11KM south of Ballarat in Victoria. Enclosed by farmlands and wooded ridges, Buninyong’s historic gold-era buildings and gardens give it a picturesque tranquillity and charm. On behalf of Scarecrow I just want to say it was a great way to spend an afternoon supporting The Andy Lutze family cause – thanks Musicland and everyone who came out Sunday afternoon, in support of a great cause!

Here’s an update from Musicland on how the day went….

I need to say a HUGE Thank you to all the Bands and Musicians and DJ Colin, that gave there time and performed on the day…I mean the quality of the acts were World Class.
To all our amazing Staff who went above and beyond…
To all the people that gave their time behind the scenes to keep the event running smoothly, on time and like clockwork in particular ‘Punch’ who was the stage hand and time keeper extraordinaire. To Rory and the team of amazing Sound Engineers on the day, I mean engineering on the fly and every band sounded amazing…Well done guys….Some of the best Engineers in the business.
To Dawn and Lotus for organising the Raffles and the Fundraising side of the event…..plus all the kind individuals who donated items to be raffled.
Plus all the other helpers…and most Importantly all the people that came and supported the event and Andy Lutze, one of the gentlemen of our Music Scene.
We raise a fabulous $10,500.00 which has gone directly to Andy..

The Love, Feeling and Vibe in Musicland was amazing……
