🚒❤️ Support Our Local CFA Volunteers – Fundraiser at Healesville Greyhounds! ❤️🚒

Grab a chair, pack a picnic rug, and head to Healesville Greyhounds this Sunday, February 15th, for a fantastic afternoon supporting Healesville’s incredible local Country Fire Authority Brigades – ‘District 13’.
Only a few weekends ago, these dedicated volunteers were out there protecting Victorians from blazing bushfires and keeping nearby communities safe. Now it’s our turn to show them how much we appreciate everything they do.

For newer fans, they provide an introduction to the music that continues to inspire; a communal experience, an opportunity to gather with fellow Mellencamp fans and reminisce about the soundtrack of their lives. Catch a live show and relive those heady days when songs like ‘Hurt So Good’, ‘Cherry Bomb’, ‘Pink Houses’ and ‘Lonely Ol’ Night’ were the anthems of a generation and now the classic hits of today. 2025 marks 35 years since Scarecrow performed their first show at the Station Hotel in Prahran in 1990. And what a ride it’s been! There have been lineup & crew changes over the years; all who have contributed in their own way, yet the essence of the band stays the same: powerful songs delivered well. Always with our incredible songbird Anny Remsnik, by the side of the charismatic, talented & energetic Gary Young!

For those who grew up listening to John Mellencamp’s albums, his music holds a special place in our musical landscape. From the raucous rock anthems like “Crumblin’ Down” to the introspective storytelling of “Pink Houses” and the enduring social commentary in “Authority Song,” Mellencamp’s blend of heartfelt lyrics and Americana roots has resonated deeply with fans across generations.

Scarecrow – The Mellencamp Show’s 35th Anniversary is more than just a celebration of a tribute band—it’s a celebration of the lasting impact of John Mellencamp’s music. It’s about honouring a body of work that has inspired countless listeners, telling stories that resonate with all who have ever felt the pulse of the American heartland.

Our 35th Anniversary Tour, will see us both at new venues and revisiting some old favourites; we’d love you along for the ride! Our 30th Anniversary celebrations were marred by postponed plans and rescheduling over a 2 year period. As we enter 2025, we’re filled with hope and optimism, eager to embrace new opportunities, make lasting memories and celebrate the moments that matter most. This year is all about turning the page to a fresh start-celebrating life, music and the connections that bind us together.

We’re incredibly grateful for the support of our fans and loved ones and we can’t wait to share the joy and excitement of live performances, unforgettable music, community and the unyielding spirit of rock ‘n’ roll! Let’s do this…
