As a special treat we’re excited to have Emma Rodda joining the band, for our celebration of John Mellencamp’s 70th Birthday, as well as our ’30th Anniversary’. Emma is a Victorian College of the Arts graduate violinist. She has toured extensively and recorded with the Orchestra Victoria, Melbourne Opera Company, Ruckus (OZ), The Raga Dolls Salon Orchestra, Alan Zavod recording, Opera in the Alps orchestra, Southern-Cross Philharmonia-Orchestra and MSO recording sessions, Countdown, Hey Hey It’s Saturday orchestral performances, and many more. Emma was recently concert master for ‘Synthony’ a NZ live disco + orchestra show. She is sought after as a session player for album, film and television recordings. Emma currently is the Head of Strings at Wesley College Elsternwick. She is Lead violinist for Mike Brady and The Exciting McGillicuddies. Emma is a passionate musician and has furthered her creative explorations through improvisation. Scarecrow are very much looking forward to performing with Emma at Chelsea Heights Hotel for both celebrations – don’t miss this one!!

Mellencamp’s 70th/30th Anniversary Celebrations

It’s been a long time coming and we can’t wait for this one…where we get to celebrate all things Mellencamp & honour John’s 70th at the Chelsea Heights Hotel! There’ll also be plenty of time to reminisce a bit more about our past 30 years… Our special guest violinist Emma Rodda will be joining us live on stage, with a full band this time – this promises to be a truly special night. Scarecrow’s 30th Anniversary TOUR

After an incredible 2 x SELL OUT shows this year at the Village Green, Scarecrow-The Mellencamp Show‘s ‘30th Anniversary Tour’ lands at another of Melbourne’s iconic rock venues, the ‘Chelsea Heights‘ on Saturday 7th August 2021.

We’ve had a lot of fun reminiscing about some of the sensational venues we used to perform at ‘back in the day’, plus we’re loving hearing your stories of how we’ve connected.
