Here’s a pic from one of our last gigs in 2021, which is all but a beautiful distant memory now! We have some great gigs coming up in 2022 & hope to create some similar scenes to this one. We can’t wait to get out there, performing live once again. Our first show for 2022 will be a cracker; celebrating the great man himself, with his milestone 70th birthday – plus reminiscing about our past 30+ years.

As a special treat we’re excited to have Emma Rodda joining the band, for our celebration of John Mellencamp’s 70th Birthday, as well as our ’30th Anniversary’. Emma is a Victorian College of the Arts graduate violinist. She has toured extensively and recorded with the Orchestra Victoria, Melbourne Opera Company, Ruckus (OZ), The Raga Dolls Salon Orchestra, Alan Zavod recording, Opera in the Alps orchestra, Southern-Cross Philharmonia-Orchestra and MSO recording sessions, Countdown, Hey Hey It’s Saturday orchestral performances, and many more. Emma was recently concert master for ‘Synthony’ a NZ live disco + orchestra show. She is sought after as a session player for album, film and television recordings. Emma currently is the Head of Strings at Wesley College Elsternwick. She is Lead violinist for Mike Brady and The Exciting McGillicuddies. Emma is a passionate musician and has furthered her creative explorations through improvisation. Scarecrow are very much looking forward to performing with Emma at Chelsea Heights Hotel for both celebrations – don’t miss this one!!

Let’s face it, we wouldn’t be here without him! What a privilege it’s been, to have performed John Mellencamp’s ditties live, for more than 30 years now. Thank you to all you music lovers, for being there with us, along this incredible journey. Due to the current Melbourne restrictions in place & the ‘Road map’ suggested, our upcoming celebrations have sadly now been rescheduled to 2022. We hope things will be a bit more settled then & hope to get back to gigs as we knew them.
Therefore, John Mellencamp’s 70th Birthday celebration at The Heights Live, has now been rescheduled to Saturday 2nd April 2022. Then wrapping up our 30th Anniversary tour, our York On Lilydale show has been rescheduled to Saturday 25th June 2022.
